Township Alerts Minimize

Easter Eggstravaganza - Please join us for the annual Port Huron Township Easter Eggstravaganza.  All children invited.  Saturday, April 4, 2020 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Central Middle School.  Event includes:  Easter Egg Pickup (come & get your eggs anytime); Inflatables, Raffle Baskets, Guessing Jar, Make and Take Crafts, a Magician at 12:00 pm, the fire and sheriff departments, refreshments and $1.00 photos with the Easter Bunny (or bring your own camera for free). Presented by the Port Huron Township Recreation Board.

Applications for Employment - Park Managers:  Port Huron Township is now accepting applications for park managers for our RV Park #2, Memorial Park #3 and Hoover Park, Wm. P. Thompson Pond and Lions DenEmployment Applications and job descriptions are available at the Township Office at 3800 Lapeer Road, Port Huron, Mi or by clicking on the respective links.  Applications will be accepted through Friday, February 28, 2020.  

St. Clair County Road Commission - Engineering Summer Interns:  The St. Clair County Road Commission is accepting applications for Engineering Summer Interns to provide general assistance to their engineering department.  Ideal candidates will be college students 18 plus years of age and must possess a strong work ethic.  They offer a 4/day 10 hour work schedule and an hourly rate of $12.50.  Applications and resumes will be accepted through February 17, 2020.  Please submit an application along with your resume.  A full job description and applications are available at their Center Service Center located at 21 Airport Drive, St. Clair MI or on their website at 222.sccrc-roads.org.  Email:  Roads@stclaircounty.org or Fax: (810) 364-9050.  Drug test required  EOE

Stopped Trains?  Have you been stuck waiting for them to pass?  The Federal Railroad Administration wants to know and has created a web page Blocked Crossing Incident Reporter where you can report delays. There are no federal laws or regulations pertaining to blocked crossings. Therefore, this information is only being used to track the location and impacts of blocked crossings. FRA's purpose of collecting this information is to learn where, when, for how long, and what impacts result from blocked highway-rail grade crossings. 

Online Publication of Ordinance/Map Amendment # 246

The Charter Township of Port Huron approved the adoption of the above said amendment of the Official Zoning Map of the Charter Township of Port Huron at a regular meeting of the Township Board on January 20, 2020, @ 7:00 pm at the Port Huron Township Hall, 3800 Lapeer Rd, Port Huron, St Clair County, Michigan 48060.

The rezoning includes the properties located on the East side of N Range Rd, from South of the railroad tracks to Ravenswood Rd, and on the North and South sides of Dove Rd, between Range Rd and approximately Minnesota Rd, that are currently zoned either B-3 General Commercial or L-1 Light Industrial, and are to be rezoned to a dual zoning of B-3 General Business and I-Light Industrial, as noted on the enclosed map by the diagonal lines

In Case of Emergency - Water Leaks:  With the cold weather now settling in, leaks may occur in the water lines that require immediate attention of our DPW personnel.  Sometimes they occur at the least convenient times.  Should you need to reach our DPW after our normal office hours or on a holiday, please contact the Township Fire Department at (810) 982-3543 and they will dispatch someone from our DPW to assist you.
